“I Always” Is English for Abracadabra

Updated: Sep 16, 2024

After being evacuated from my home during a wildfire, I arrived at my friend’s stunning, newly built home on 2 acres of open land. I got out of my car, looked around, and the words, “Holy smokes!” (or a less G-rated term) blurted from my lips. This place was amazing. And the fact that this was where I was going to stay while I was evacuated felt like a magical gift.

As my girlfriend and her wonderful husband led me to my own spacious “casita” over by the pool, I just tripped along in stunned delight. I had my own private space with a nice kitchen, bedroom, bath, and living room. Not only that but all the appliances and temp controls were “smart”. The shower was huge with two separate heads and the bed was fantastically firm just like I love. This Goldilocks was in heaven!

I caught myself internally saying, “I always manifest amazing homes.” And my Inner Manifester (IM) perked up and said, “What did you say?”

“I always…”

IM held up her hand, “Stop. What a powerful phrase, ‘I always…’ Let’s explore this.”

"Later," I mumbled wearily, every ounce of me longing to collapse onto that inviting bed. And that was exactly what I did.

In many metaphysical circles, especially the Law of Assumption, the term, “I am…” is the magical words to be uttered when you want to manifest something. By using "I am," you’re affirming that you already have what you desire, aligning your subconscious mind with this reality and fostering a sense of abundance and fulfillment.

However, as my IM (isn’t it interesting that “IM” and “I am” sound the same? Cue the Twilight Zone theme) and I began to investigate the term and the associated memories and feelings of, “I always” I felt like I had found a steroid injection for “I am”.

I realized that the phrases I used with “I always,” were very true. Using “I am” is about aligning my mind and energy with the reality I wish to experience. “I always” creates a stronger sense of continuity and consistency. "I always" implies that the reality I’m describing has been, is, and will continue to be true.

I realized that I preferred using 'I always.' Using "I always" instills a sense of security and trust in myself and my experiences. For example, saying "I always find myself in the right place at the right time" (which is very true) reinforces the idea that things work out for me consistently, which enhances my sense of safety and trust in Life.

It can also alleviate anxiety or fear about the future, as it affirms that the positive outcomes are an ongoing part of my journey.

Using "I always" can feel more powerful because it sets a precedent for continuous manifestation and creations. (And if you read my blogs - you know continuous manifestation is my thing.) It’s a way of declaring not just who I am in the moment, but who I am across time, creating a deeper sense of reality in my affirmations.

Let’s try a few:

Instead of "I am safe," say, "I always find myself in safe and supportive environments.”

Instead of “I am strong,” say, "I always bounce back stronger from challenges."

Instead of “I am supported,” say, ""I always surround myself with loving and supportive people."

Instead of “I am healthy,” say, "I always feel energized and full of vitality."

And for those of us that adore manifesting money, here’s a few good ones:

"I always attract financial abundance effortlessly."

"I always find new and exciting opportunities to increase my wealth."

"I always have more than enough money for everything I need and desire."

"I always receive money from unexpected sources."

"I always make wise financial decisions that grow my prosperity."

"I always feel secure and supported by the flow of money into my life."

"I always experience an easy and natural flow of income and wealth."

Can you feel the powerful mindset of ongoing financial prosperity? Aligning yourself with the belief that money flows to you naturally and consistently by using "I always," creates the affirmation that abundance is a regular part of your experience, not something sporadic or rare.

You get the idea. Play around with it and have fun. Don't take it too seriously, and when you get a chance, let me know how it turns out.
